I recently came across several lovely illustrated volumes of poetry by American poet, novelist, and playwright Paul Laurence Dunbar, 1872 – 1906. The last line of his playful poem “Dinah Kneading Dough” caused me to sigh, so I’m passing it along for your enjoyment.
You can find the poem in Candle-Lightin’ Time (love that title!) published in 1901. I’ll post more of his poems in the future!
