Regency Era Play Bills From The Theatre Royal

I’ve missed my blog so much. All I’ve been doing lately is writing, writing, writing. Finally, I’ve found a small break to put up these play bills from The Theatre Royal, English Opera House from 1819. Enjoy!

  1. These are terrific. How I wish I could travel back in time to catch a performance of “Lionel and Clarissa” or “Belles Without Beaux,” along with the oft-mentioned ” Coup d’oeil of unrivalled brillancy!”

  2. I think “Belles Without Beaux or Ladies among Themselves” is my favorite title! Oh, to be able to time travel and check out the new piazza and lighting!

I would love to hear your thoughts!
